If you were to cut Greg Hoy - and candidly, I wouldn't advise it - the singer/songwriter/guitarist would bleed rock and roll. His music is tough, grungy and raw like his influences. With his latest single "Leaving While You Stay" making its video debut, the song moves you in ways of the classic rock bands of the 1970's. In the same manner as retro rock bands like The Strokes or The Hives, Greg Hoy & The Boys offer unapologetic ass-kicking RAWK to fuel the unprecedented times we're living through.

"Leaving While You Stay" is a crushingly loud rocker with a lyrical twist inspired by societal events happening in the world. The music video mocks the Donald Trump presidency as a clown led government circus in cartoon style. It's based around a pounding drum pattern and blazing guitar riffs, something Tony Iommi or Jack White would come up with. It's produced with a vintage analog vibe, overdriven and unpolished. This music was made for vinyl, for the nostalgic, and tone shifters of what will be modern radio today.

As the current trends shift from top 40 electronic pop to nasty burning guitar music, Greg Hoy & The Boys lead the way back to passion triggered punk rock, something we all need to get back to. The roots are in the riffage. Hoy's newest single is a series of awesome riffs put together to achieve maximum badassery for a song that'll melt in your brain for months.

A forthcoming 11 track album recorded at Tiny Telephone (San Francisco) will be released later this year.
