Erin Hill, renowned harpist, singer and actor based out of New York City and Louisville, KY joins The Peter Ulrich Collaboration as a featured performer on The Peter Ulrich Collaboration’s “Final Reflections, ” the final album in the Collaboration’s critically acclaimed Painted Caravan Trilogy to be released on December 3, 2019.
Erin has been a major contributor to The Peter Ulrich Collaboration and The Painted Caravan Trilogy in the past; among her many contributions, the two most prominent perhaps were harp and vocals for Dark Daddy, a chilling ballad co-written by Erin that appeared in Tempus Fugitives—the second album in The Painted Caravan Trilogy —and Erin’s featured live performances on harp and vocals with The Peter Ulrich Collaboration throughout the Collaboration’s show at New York City’s legendary Webster Hall in 2015. Erin now returns to the Collaboration for the third and final album of the Trilogy, Final Reflections, contributing on harp to several tunes and adding saucy vocals to her spirited turn as the indefatigable “Pirate Jane”. “Pirate Jane” recounts the story of a strong and fearless woman hailing from the bayous of Louisiana who sails the deep blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, asking for what she wants and stealing what she needs.
Erin’s wide range of musical styles includes pop, rock, jazz, country, opera and world music, styles that, in addition to being reflected in her work with The Peter Ulrich Collaboration in The Painted Caravan Trilogy, shine brightly in her own albums, Harp Town, Christmas Harp and Girl Inventor released by Cleopatra Records. Erin has had a #1 album on the Billboard world chart and has played and sung with Cyndi Lauper, Kanye West, Enya, moby, Sinead O’Connor, a-ha, Josh Groban, Jewel, and for Carl Icahn, Randy Newman, Bill Murray, Serena Williams, two First Ladies, and played and sung solo at The Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall, As an actress, Erin might be most widely known as The Pretty White Girl from Comedy Central’s Chappelle’s Show. She also has extensive stage (Titanic, Urinetown) and film (Clear Blue Tuesday, Cradle Will Rock) credits. Erin’s live musical performances with her own group of talented musicians are particularly not to be missed. Coming up, Erin will be performing brilliant arrangements of the great David Bowie’s music at Manhattan’s Cutting Room on October 30, 2019.

The Peter Ulrich Collaboration is a collaboration helmed by Peter Ulrich, former percussionist for the iconic Dead Can Dance, the brilliantly innovative band that music historian Ian McFarlane described as world music that "constructed soundscapes of mesmerizing grandeur and solemn beauty... with African polyrhythms, Gaelic folk, Gregorian chants, Middle-Eastern mantras and art-rock". Ulrich met Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard, the founders and cornerstones of Dead Can Dance, in London in 1982 and joined the band on drums and percussion. After leaving DCD and after releasing a string of critically acclaimed releases as a solo artist, Peter's next big step was The Peter Ulrich Collaboration.
The Collaboration is the brainchild of Ulrich and Trebor “Big T” Lloyd of City Canyons Productions as producer and a principal collaborator. The Collaboration mixes folk rock, world rock, art rock and psychedelic music with a world view that encompasses alternative history, fictional universes, Steampunk, and Goth, and recalls the exquisitely crafted soundscapes of Dead Can Dance. The group features songwriting by Ulrich, Lloyd, and New York songwriters Anne Husick, Sara Wendt and Kathy Sheppard among others with vocals by David Steele, Wendt, Ulrich, Jen Elliott, Shane Chapman, Stephanie Linn, Timothy Dark and other bright American and English talents. The vocalists are backed by a crackerjack band playing rock, post-rock, world and folk influenced music. After the release of two albums, The Painted Caravan and Tempus Fugitives, thrilled New York Collaboration fans were treated to a live performance by the band at Manhattan's famous Webster Hall in 2015. “Final Reflections”; the third final album in the well received The Painted Caravan Trilogy, will be available for streaming and purchase on all the major services starting December 3rd, 2019.

The Painted Caravan Trilogy began with 2014’s The Painted Caravan album. The Painted Caravan was not intended to be merely a collection of tracks. The album took listeners on a musical journey.—a magic caravan exploring mysterious lands, making various stops along the way, visiting exalted cathedrals, dark castles with sometimes terrifying dungeons, cities, towns and villages populated with strange and wonderful folk.
Some of the scope of the Painted Caravan can be indicated by a brief description of the tracks including "Hanging Man," a tale of jealous love and eternal retribution, "Love's Skeleton," a story of love that never dies, "Starship(Golden Eye)," a recounting of a trip through the universe to find a long-lost love, "Drug of War," a tale of a former soldier's addiction to the adrenalin rush of warfare and "Pureland," a mystic chant that carries one to a place of perfect peace and perfect understanding. As these titles amply reflect, The Painted Caravan was in part, a portrait of love, in all of its protean manifestations. Love’s Skeleton and Hanging Man, two of the favorites from The Painted Caravan, are further explored in remixed and remastered versions in Final Reflections.
2015’s Tempus Fugitives continued the journey, taking perhaps an even darker look at more twisted versions of love such as the above mentioned Dark Daddy or a look into the psyche of the infamous lover Don Juan in Don Juan’s Lament. The final stop in the journey, Final Reflections, completes this magical mystery tour of an entirely different kind.
