Stereolab announced details of their upcoming World Tour which includes their first North American Tour since 2008. The recently reunited band will perform in the United States and Canada this coming September and October.
Stereolab recently confirmed their first U.S. performance in over a decade when they were named headliners of the Desert Daze festival taking place October 10 – 13 in Lake Perris, California. The band, which went on hiatus in 2009, will now make their U.S. return on September 16 in El Paso, Texas. Additional stops on the tour include Dallas, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Boston, MontrĂ©al, Toronto, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Portland, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco and more.
Stereolab also further detailed a reissue campaign of expanded and remastered editions of seven of their previously released albumw. The campaign begins on May 3 with the re-release of 1993’s Transient Random Noise-Bursts With Announcements and 1994’s Mars Audiac Quintet on vinyl and CD through Warp/Duophonic UHF Disks. Expanded reissues of 1996’s Emperor Tomato Ketchup, 1997 Dots and Loops and 1999’s Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night are expected in August and updated versions of 2001’s Sound-Dust and 2004’s Margerine Eclipse will be made available in November.
