The band have shared another new track from upcoming album 'The Now Now'
Gorillaz have shared another new song in the form of synth-funk track ‘Sorcererz’.
The track is the third studio recording to be taken from the band’s upcoming new album, ‘The Now Now’. The record is due for release on June 29.
‘Sorcererz’, which follows recent tracks ‘Lake Zurich’ and ‘Humility’, is available to stream and download now. You can listen to it below.
The track was also one of four previously unheard tracks debuted during the Damon Albarn-led group’s Rock Im Park headline set last Friday (June 1). It was joined by ‘Tranz’, ‘Magic City’, and ‘Souk Eye’.
Recently, the band confirmed a new edition of their Demon Dayz festival. The inaugural event was held in Margate last year. Now, the one-dayer will head to Los Angeles where the likes of The Internet, DRAM, Erykah Badu, Kilo Kish and Little Simz will join Gorillaz.
Speaking to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe last week, Albarn revealed ‘The Now Now’ has only three special guests. “There’s not really any cos I wrote most of it on tour in America,” he said. “Snoop [Dogg]’s on it cos we were in LA, and Jamie [Principle] cos he was on the tour. And then just sort of randomly thought of George Benson, and that’s it really. There’s nothing else.”
