Listen to Underworld’s haunting, ambient new song, ‘Brilliant Yes That Would Be’

The new track follows last year's 'Born Slippy' reimagining 'Long Slow Slippy'

Underworld have shared a haunting, ambient new track in the form of ‘Brilliant Yes That Would Be’.

The electronic duo comprised of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith formed in Cardiff in 1980, and released their latest album ‘Barbara Barbara, We Face A Shining Future‘ in 2016. Last year, they released a reimagined edit of their classic ‘Born Slippy’ for the T2: Trainspotting soundtrack, called ‘Long Slow Slippy’.

Now, the band have shared ‘Brilliant Yes That Would Be’ with a video inspired by their recent return to Iceland. On March 17, they performed in Reykjavík for the first time since 1994. Directed by Simon Taylor, the film features gorgeous, mirrored shots of the Icelandic landscape. You can watch the video below.

Meanwhile, Underworld are set to headline the Belfast leg of BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend. They will appear at Titanic Slipways on May 26. Joining them will be the likes of Franz Ferdinand, First Aid Kit, Neneh Cherry, Shame, Superorganism, and Dream Wife.
