Elohim shares new song ‘Pigments’

It forms a double single with previous Neu Pick ‘Bridge and the Wall’.

Hotly-tipped newcomer Elohim has shared a new song, ‘Pigments’. It’s the double A-side to the previously released ‘Bridge and the Wall,’ which we premiered as our Neu Pick at the end of last year.

Seething with petrol-drenched synthesisers, and sudden, chirpy little melody bursts, ‘Pigments’ keeps Elohim’s output to date at consistently sky-high levels of aceness. “I can’t make you love you,” goes the chorus, turning an age old lyrical cliche around on its head with a single deft word switch.

“Saying the word Elohim out loud feels powerful,” Elohim speaking about her moniker - a Hebrew word for God. “It’s like a positive affirmation every time I speak it. It is impactful and ballsy, so full of depth. I am a woman and I am pulsing with strength. I’ve grown a lot through this process of making music. The name felt right, it felt empowering.”
